Diarrhea for over a week and dehydrated? |
I went to a music festival about two weeks ago which I think is responsible for all this. While I was there I tried to keep as hydrated as possible, drinking more than a gallon of water a day and taking heat exaustion precautions. I came home with feet swollen so bad that I couldnt put my shoes on for two days, blisters all over my feet and have had diarrhea since I came home. Diarrhea is very common to have, especially over a period of days. Look for these things. Well, 1st of all...STOP EATING FRUIT! Fruit will make you go more. I would suggest drinking the children's drink pedilite and take some pepto bismal. This should help you. Good luck! you sound dehydrated, but be really careful. if your symptoms get worse just call a doctor or a friend who'll know what to do. also, you could have picked up a bug at the festival. With diarrhea like that, your electrolytes must surely be out of kilter, which can cause cardiac complications. please check with your doctor about your condition. they might need to check your stool and might prescribe antibiotic depends on what they find out. |
