Diarrhea Question please help ???????????

My girlfriend came down with diarrhea 4 weeks ago on the Friday for 1 day, on the Saturday I had a bout of indigestion I think it was me catching the bug or whatever and on the Monday I had diarrhea myself.

The thing is it didn鈥檛 bother me for 2 weeks then it returned after I had been to the fair I thought it must just of been the rides, But 1 week later after the second episode my girlfriend got another bout of it for a day I had it for a day and the It is still 2 weeks later formed but sometimes unformed Poo.

It just seems like there is more water in my bowls then usual

I would just like to add that when both of use had diarhea for the 1 day there where no other symptoms other than urgency and I have had 2 extra weeks of formed and unformed mussy stool

I have had a stool test but they have show nothing I would just like to know what they test for and I just seem strange that both of us have had diarrhea 2 times in the last month the first being 2 days later of each other

both of you have yourselves check by a doctor you might have contracted amibiasis that very dangerous

So. what's the bottom line? When you had a stool test and it showed nothing. Did you get something to help correct the diarrhea?
After 4 weeks somebody should have gotten help from a doctor. People just don't go around diarrheaing all over the place for 4 weeks; giving it back and forth to each other without an answer.

I had a similar thing, it was a bug that lasted 2 weeks!!! BUT to be on the safe side, go see a gastrontologist. (stomach and bowel doctor I probably spelled it wrong) They will be able to help you more.

I can't help but agree with "Barbra". It may be an enterovirus you and your girlfriend are passing back and forth. Was an antidiarrheal recommended? Perhaps if you and the girlfriend can remain apart long enough for you both to get over this, that will put an end to it. I can't really answer your question about what your stools were tested for. I wasn't there when the doctor ordered it. May have been a stool culture and may also have been a stool O & P (ova & parasites).

If your are passing it back and forth, your last statement isn't at all strange.
