Diarrhea for a month?

my friend has had diarrhea for a month and she just got in to an appointment with the doctor today, who prescribed her antibiotics.

she only diarrheas after she eats food, suggesting that it has something to do with not accepting food?

hopefully its not severe and will get better soon.. any thoughts or suggestions?

The same thin happen to me last year.My doctor gave me all kind of test and nothing. At the end was stress related.I went on herbs, fruits and veggies for two weeks and also very important sat my family together and told them to "f" off and leave me alone to get better.May be is stress?Ask her

something could be wrong with her gallbladder or pancreas... or she could be dehydrated. tell her to drink lots of water, no sweets and bananas they help

My mothe rin law was like that. She went every 2 to 3 minutes...no joke. Her problem was her antibiotics!!! Her medicine actually harmed her good bacteria!!

Make sure she takes ALL of the antibiotics. she may feel better tomorrow, but if she doesn't finish the pills, the infection will come right back.

You're a good friend. Good luck to her! :)

He ought to put a cork!

you can advice your friend to take ORESOL (hydrite) to replace her electrolytes that have been lost.

here is the ORESOL prep: dissolve 1 tablespoon of sugar and 录 teaspoon of salt in 1 glass of water.

No one here is a doctor, however, if someone has diarrhea for a MONTH or more, that can lead to very serious illnesses... severe dehydration which can eventually break down the organs, she could have a problem with COLITUS(her colon).... I had a colonoscopy last year because I had diarrhea for several months straight---turns out I have colitus and take 3 HUGE yellow pills 3 times a day... I also ended up having some heart and lung problems a year after that but I'd kind of like to thing one did NOT have anything to do with the other... but, the antibiotics are only good for 10 days so if she still had the diarrhea after that, I'd tell her to ask the doc to schedule a colonoscopy---
