On Friday, I stated feeling sick half way through the day at school so i went home. (i had a head ache and my stomach didnt feel too well) I went to sleep on the couch for 3 hours, and when i woke up, i had a fever of 38.6 C and so i took 2 advils. I had a very bad headache aswell. Before i went to bed i could not stop shaking, and so i decided to just go to bed. Stupid me, i put another blanket on my bed and i woke up with a fever of 39.4 C which is about 102.9 F so i knew that it was because i had an extra blanket on me, so i just went downstairs and took more advil. But then i started getting really bad stomache pains i had diarrhea. And i was having it around every 2 hours saturday during the day, so i only ate toast and chicken noodle soup. On sunday though, i still had diarrhea, i only had it about twice though, but (excuse the graphicness) it is like water, and it is almost black sort of. So today (monday) i still had diarrhea this morning,but i only went once, and i dont think i am going to have to go for the rest of the day(i hope), so i decided to just put a little bit of jam on toast because i was starving! so i gave up on that only eat toast thing, and i am not eating regular foods. If i still have diarrhea tomorrow, should i go see the doctor? First, if you are not already doing it, you can try taking some over-the-counter diarrhea medicines like Imodium or Kaopectate. If that doesn't work, your doctor can prescribe something that will work on the cramps and diarrhea.
Also, for the next few days until you are better, eat very lightly and stay in bed and rest as much as possible. If you eat a lot or move around a lot, it stimulates your digestive system, and the diarrhea will come back.
I hope you feel better soon - just take care of yourself and call the doctor tomorrow if you have more diarrhea. Sounds like Flu. If you don't improve go to the Dr. |
