Diaper rash...preemies?

my daughters have all got diaper rash. mind you i switched to a store brand just to save money. well need less to say i will be switching back to pampers. my question is what diaper cream can i use that is effective for diaper rash but mild enough for my preemies as well?

Make up a paste with water and cornflour. This is the mildest of the lot and contains no chemicals or fragrances. At least you will know what is in it as you are making it yourself. You could also ask the chemist if zinc oxide will be ok for a preemie.
Hope this helps and have a great day/night!!!

Whenever my son got diaper rash as a baby (he was also a preemie, 33 weeker), we always just used vaseline. All the other ointments have vitamins and fragrances. Skin, especially preemie skin, which is much thinner, absorbs all that, and their little bodies have to try and figure out what to do with it all. Granted vaseline has additives, its not near as many, and it still provides a water barrier (the most important thing when trying to heal a diaper rash) so the irritated skin can heal. Good luck!

Diaper rash creme (barrier protection) any brand should be gentle enough for your preemies.
My preference is Desetin Creamy, but any barrier cream should be mild.

Another way to help diaper rash heal, is to give it some time in the air (aka. diaper free) which will promote healing.
Make sure the room is at a comfortable temperature for your little ones especially if they have temperature regulation problems.

Good luck, and God bless you with your little miracles.

what work for me with my kids was either cornstarch with water( make it a paste), or backing soda and water because it lets the rash breath .

i have a neice who is a premie and my sister uses "A&D" diaper cream
