Can a bad diaper rash on a toldder end up his abdomen? PLEASE HELP?

My son got blotchy red marks on his abdomen. He had a very bad diaper rash and thats how I think he got it from. I am looking for pictures to see other cases. PLEASE HELP OUT thank you ;)

If it spread that far, you should take him to the dr....the diaper rash may have started it, but, he will probably need meds to keep it from spreading and coming back.

Most likely it is diaper rash but could be a yeast infection of the skin. Yes it does happen. More often thean people realize. Take him to a pediatrician for a firm diagnosis. If not yeast, its probably just the irritation of the skin and Diaper rash ointment should clear it up in a few days.

Or could he be allergic to the daipers, or soap that you are using. He could also have a heat rash. Has his diaper rash cleared up yet? you might want to call your pred. doctor & ask them or the local health department.

Anywhere the diaper touches can cause diaper rash. It's not just the butt. Also, you didn't mention how old baby is. If he's teething, the excessive drooling can seep down his front and get stuck in the band of the diaper (or cloth) and cause a rash.

So, just keep vigilant about keeping him as dry as possible. If he's teething, then he's drooling all over the place and it might seem impossible. My friends baby had some gnarly diaper rash, so her doctor recommended "naked time." It was summer, so she just stripped the baby down and let him run naked in the yard. He peep in the grass and pooped on the daisies, but it gave his skin (specifically his bare bottom) a much needed break from the diaper. Not to mention the fact that the chubby little tyke had the time of his life!
