Help my 10 month daughter has a major diaper rash .? |
My daughter has had her rash for over 2 weeks. I tried store bought ointment ,corn starch , i try to change her every 2 hrs . Nothing seems to work!!! PLEASE someone help me!! Its looking bad. Plus ever time she does num 2 i looks reder no matter how fast i change it. Someone told me let her run naked, but thats going to be a mess. She can't even sit in the tube without scratching . my sons got really bad once. it looked like he had skinned his bum (like skinning your knee) wow, did i actually say it worked so bad? i meant it worked so well. bag balm is amazing. Sounds like it might be a yeast infection and not diaper rash. Have you tried using an antifungal cream on it. Diaper rash doesn't itch but a yeast infection does. Try athletes foot cream, jock itch cream or vaginal yeast cream on it. They all work the same. Take her to the pediatrcian tommorow. They will prescribe something now. In the future after day 1 call the dr. :) put some plan yogurt on her bottom, I know it sounds weird but it may actually be a yeast infection instead of a diaper rash now. My daughter used to get them at 9 months old and it didnt stop until she was out of the diaper almost. Yogurt has a yeast in it that helps with bodies natural defense system BRING HER TO YOUR PEDIATRICIAN.NOW!!!!!!!!!! This should help. DEAR BUY SOMETHING IN OIL FORM TO SELLING IN THE MOISTER BABY OIL BABY LOTION SOME THING LIKE THIS THEY HAVE A THING CALLED BUT PASTE LOOK FOR IT IN THE BABY AISLE OF THE STORE OK TAKE CARE It's possible that she is allergic to something she has ate or drank.Sometimes the acid in juice can cause a diaper rash.Because you don't know the exact cause, if you are giving orange juice or something with a lot of acid, discontinue giving it to her for a couple days and keep using desitin .If that's the problem it should go away.If not take her to see a doctor. Sounds like it could be a yeast infection and not a diaper rash. It's only going to get worse without the help of a doctor, and you probably don't want to get in trouble for child neglect by letting it keep going on and on and not doing anything about it. Make sure you get the old ointment off before you apply more. Ointment hanging around usually isn't a problem as we tend to apply a moderate amount for every day. But if a rash gets worse, the ointment gets slathered on and sits there. Layer after layer blocks the air to the skin. So clean it off with a warm wipe or soapy washcloth. And let her run naked. --Infant Daycare Worker The best thing to use is A&D ointment found in any grocery store. It will clear the rash up over night. I always combined good ol fashioned nudity with oatmeal baths. It's a natural, safe (albeit a little messy) way to allow the body to heal itself. I also recommend bag balm, very good. Also, read online about baby powder/cornstarch. Some research suggests that the use of those items on infant females seems to be a precursor to some female reproductive area cancers. Okay for the rash, you need to dry it, apply " DESITIN OINTMENT" it comes in a tube with dark blue letters and it comes in a box like a toothpaste. It will dry the skin and will not burn the baby's skin when you apply it. Dermaplast..it comes in a spray can..GREAT stuff. spray it on her..let her go without her diaper as much as you can and when she has to be in a diaper for a long time..use lots of zinc oxide...oh! dont let it go to far it could be a yeast infection. They gave my son soome ointment called Nyastat I think..just dont let it get too bad...good luck We tried everything but the best thing was honey, bit messy but works.goodluck |
