Can Vaseline work as a diaper rash ointment?

Yes, it actually works pretty well.

My daughter is starting to potty train, so I figure it's not worth buying special ontment that might never get used. On the rare occasion she gets a little diaper rash, I just use Vaseline, and it takes care of it.

The best thing for diaper rash is keep the area clean and dry. Things that help get rid of diaper rash are Desitin or caldecine powder.
