Can adults get diaper rash?

Can adults get diaper rash?

do you wear a diaper? than I guess you can. I know we can get chapped and it may seem like diaper rash, usually it's from sweat or friction. try some A&D or vaseline. good luck

Yes, very much so. If you sit a lot or moisture collects while you sit. Just as babies do.

Jo

anybody can. Its a infection of the skin, caused by breaking the skin at the site. Some never got it before, you see?

Yes, sometimes it is called thrush.

people who are bedridden can get diaper rash if they sit in urine. most people can get heat rash and many other sorts of rashes caused by a variety of things. if bathing in baking soda water and such doesnt help, then you likely have a fungus . try tolenaftate cream, over the counter at the drug store. or if you have changed your laundry detergent or fabric treatments you might be allergic.

no, they don't wear dipers/ old people may be...?

yeah...adults can have it...hygiene is always the primary concern when a person is wearing it...must change it right away after the person pees....rashes sets in when the skin is moist....keep it always dry....

if you live in alabama you can every where on your body that is nasty but it is true.

of course...

it's best to use plenty of powder so that moisture doesnt build up

in your diaper ..

Diaper rash is just another name for a rash caused by irritation and constant exposure of the skin to moisture, you don't have to wears diapers to get a "diaper" rash.

Age isn't a factor, babies get it most of the time because they are the ones that are more consistently exposed to these conditions because of wearing wet diapers, that's why it is called diaper rash.

The rash can be prevented with proper care. I wear diapers 24 / 7 due to being medically incontinent. If you use pleanty of powder and give your skin a chance to air out periodically then the rash will not occur. I've worn diapers all the time for quite some time now and have never had a diaper rash.

I also do not use disposable diapers, they cause more rashes than cloth diapers do. I wear cloth all the time. I know that is one reason why I don't have the rashes.

Good luck, and I hope you never get "diaper" rash, it isn't comfortable.

I understand diaper rash is one form the Candida Albicans fungus can take. I have something like that, and I am trying to fight it from the inside out.

You need an anti-fungal cream and/or powder. You can use lotrimin AF cream or any other similar anti-fungal product. You can order Zeasorb-AF powder through your drug store, if they don't carry it on the shelves. Or you can use yogurt. Eat plain yogurt about 3 times a week, and/or use it like a cream on the area. It will smell, but the acidophilus bacteria in the yogurt neutralizes yeast.

This is also the same fungus that results in jock itch, athlete's foot, thrush (white tongue), vaginitis (in women), ringworm and other skin rashes. It is the Candida Albicans fungus (yeast).

For basic information on the systemic yeast syndrome, check out the link on the Welcome page of www.hufa.org.

Yeppers, adults can get diaper rash I suggest regularly changing your diaper to avoid getting a rashh. Also pubic hair collects moisture and helps contribute to getting diaper rash so I suggest shaving that area to help avoid getting a rash in your diaper area.

Yes. A rash can appear whenever there is clothing over an area of the skin that remains moist.

Wash without soap, use a moisturizer, and use a cornstarch powder. And please wear white cotton undies!

Yes you can. Diaper rash is just the most commum name for a rash that was cused be wet chapped skin. Just go get like some A&D from like walmart and that way no one will know what you need if for.

YES!! Get some desitin or keep dusted with cornstarch powder.

More than likely.Maybe you should try asking an adult that wears diapers.

yes. cornstarch will help absorb and ease the rash. anywhere there is alot of heat/moisture on your skin is prime target for a rash like this. and balmex is great as well it acts as a moisture barrier and helps soothe the tender skin that has the rash.
