How can i heal my son's diaper rash, caused by diarrehea because of his stomach flu.? Try A&D with zinc oxide in the white & blue tube. I used that with my son & it worked great. Also use a tiny sprinkle of Johnson's Medicated baby powder. It also has zinc oxide in the powder. An electric sander will scrape that right off! Use a baby cream with zinc in it. The zinc has healing agencies.Try Zincofax. corn starch...... the only thing that ever worked for my children Try mixing maalox with desitin. Maalox with neutralize the high pH of the stool, desitin will protect the skin. Apply to the skin with each diaper change (do it often). Also use warm washcloths without soap, or if you use wipes, rinse them out first so the cleanser in the wipes does not irritate the skin more. I am a pediatric nurse and we use this trick at the hospital often. Go see you Dr he will give you something called Butt Paste. Yes I know it sounds like I am making this up. I am not, I have three boys the youngest is three. We use this stuff on a regular basis. It works in about one full day. Yes zinc cream is the best that I found. You can actually get plain zinc cream from the pharmacy, with no additives to it. It is reasonably priced, and works very very well. Hope this helps! Keep the area clean and use destin cream on his bottom. I hope he feels better soon. Ive had 5 children and Ive been through it more then once....the best thing you can do is use destine and air it out!! Leave the diaper off for awhile in between changes. http://baby-supplies.blogspot.com has good information and advice for all your baby needs and questions. |
