Does anyone know a good remedy for diaper rash, other than desitin, boudreaux, a&d, zinc oxide? |
I change her diapers frequently, she has very sensitive skin and had a reaction to orange juice. Have you've tried Baby Gold Bond. This stuff worked for my son. Also, You've mentioned that she has sensitive skin. Have you considered that maybe she's allergic to the type of diaper she's wearing. When my oldest son was a baby, he used to break out in rashes like crazy and I tried everything and nothing worked, as it turned out, he was allergic to huggies and had to switch over to Luvs. Later on when I tried to potty train him, he was also allergic to Huggies Pull ups as well. If none of those worked, you need to change the diapers more often! Sprinkle corn starch on it, make sure this is just a diaper rash, because it could be a yeast infection from to much antibiotics, babies get this to! Yes!!! Try Bag Balm it works extremely well on diaper rash in a matter of a few times in a day you will see a major difference. Let baby go without nappy to get air on bottom area. This helps to dry out area naturally. Make sure changing nappy regally so baby not sitting in urine. If breastfeeding eat good recommended foods to make sure your baby doesn't have strong urine. Go to doctor before it gets worse or your baby may get scars. I had a doctor tell me one time that if they already have a rash that is blistered and sore to NOT use the ointments or powders because they would clog the pores worse, he suggested a piece of plastic under a sheet or blanket, bathe and dry them thoroughly then let them air out for awhile to give the sore area time to heal (makes sense if its covered up by ointments or powder it will never get the air it needs to dry up) do this once or twice and you will see a dramatic difference. Good luck ! |
