My toddler who is 2 1\2 has diaper rash cream in her hair any ideas how to get it out? |
its grease based My daughter recently put almost a whole bottle of Vaseline in her hair. The best thing I can say is I washed her hair over and over with baby shampoo. It didn't just take a day either. A two year old can only take so much of her hair being washed. I would hope the cream is a little easier to get out. Good luck. (towel dry after each wash and comb with a fine tooth comb..it helps) maybe a bath with some shampoo hit the tub. use baby oil. then shampoo. she'll come out like an extra from american gaffitti but the oil should bust up the grease in teh cream and is preferable to whatever medication is in the cream explain to her eye to eye, it is not a goog thing to put her nappy on her head, assuming you put sudocrem in her nappy. Wash it sorry I have no answers for you but I am lmao It is very difficult but not impossible. Option 1: You can cut the hair and start over. wash your childs head and hair with washing up liquid 2 or 3 times to remove all the cream then wash with the usual shampoo then condition for 2 mins and rinse through. their hair will be as good as new, infact it probably will never have looked better! i know it sounds weird but believe me it works. its been tried and tested in my house a million times! happy washing! wash_your_toddlers_hair_really_well_unti... I read in one of my care and keeping books that you take peanut butter and put it on the spot and ooze it out. I tried with gum and it worked. But if you try that make sure you take a bath afterwards. Use Dawn dishsoap on that spot only then condition the heck out of it. Probably wash it out with shampoo, is it really that hard to get out? Pour boiling water over it. JUST KIDDING! Actually, I was thinking the Dawn idea was the best.... Slowly put baby powder in her hair until it clumps up with the diaper rash cream. You will be able to wash it out with shampoo and very warm water. This will also work with vaseline and baby oil. (Experienced, trust me!) a couple of times in the bath and shampoo really good should get it right out I'm sorry but are you Brittney Spear's relation or Kevin Federline's? Keep a better eye on your toddler and you won't need to worry about this A bath bath with shampoo is a great idea actually, I used dish soap for the dishes.. cuts the greese and got it the first time around,, follow it up with a kids conditioner... worked great and in less time than regular shampoo! Try shampoo, if that doesn't work shave his head. I had the same thing happen and anyone who says shampoo is just being inconsiderate. It's gonna take alot of patience considering that the cream works agains moisture. Lots of time with a towel to just remove as much as you can, and then time in the bath. But it's gonna take a lot of time, soaking, and shampoo to get it all out. But if some is left in it just makes the hair shinier and more managable till the hair absorbs it anyway :) |
