My dermotoligist prescribed an ointment for a rash similar to Desitin used for diaper rash. How to remove it?

I need an OTC product that will remove it sans irratation.

Mineral Oil works best for removing zinc oxide from the skin, that's the main ingredient in desitin. So it would probably work just as well for the ointment you where prescribed.

Are you sure you're supposed to remove it? Maybe this is why you have a rash in the first place. Put it on and leave it there.
