What is the best way to get rid of baby diaper rash?

What is the best way to get rid of baby diaper rash?

I always thought Balmex worked the best on my daughter. No other product would make it better - only worse.

change the diaper more regularly and wash your baby to prevent the rash in the first place.

Keep it clean and dry.

You're going to laugh, but BUTT PASTE. You can find it at Wal-Mart.

Clean, dry, & lots of sunshine.

are you talking about eczema? babys just get it. no real way of prevention, just some lotion like Eucerin and just regular washing. Also baby powder does help in the itchy department in case baby is.

do not use disposable diappers and use cloth diappers

First and formost keep the baby cleand and dry, also it wouldn't hurt to leave the diaper off a while to get fresh air and also over the counter med. are great, good luck clearing it up

balmex or desitin apply every diaper change. if doen't clear up the baby probably has a yeast infection go to dr or use vagisil the same women use even if the baby is a boy. good luck

In addition to changing the diaper often (as soon as you discover that it's wet or messy) and cleaning the skin, a diaper rash ointment, like Desitin will help keep the skin dry

Desitin is oil-based, and will prevent the moisture in a wet diaper from even coming in contact with the skin, and allow healing.

If the rash does not go away or is recurring, go to your pediatrician- it may be a yeast-based rash, and will need a special ointment.

Some babies skin is more sensitive than others. Change their diddies frequently. Use paper diapers. If you use cloth, then put white vinegar in the rince cycle. It prevents amonia from forming in the cloth and thus prevents the diaper rash. Let your baby sit a bit in a baking soda bath if they have a rash. It is very soothing and helps heal it quickly. I gave my babies cranberry juice and they stopped having diaper rash forever. Some doctors say no no on the cranberry juice. I gave it straight, but then I was young. Perhaps it would work just as well diluted. I suggest you check with your pediatrician though. Butt Balm works great for a barrier to the rash causing stuff. Never use talcum power. It hurts the lungs. Baby power is mostly talcum power. Corn starch works just fine and is not known to cause any problems. Fresh air also heals. Kiss your baby a lot and never let a day go by without telling them that you love them. And show it by doing kind things for them as well. What you teach your child by example, they will do as adults. love light and peace to you and your baby's bum.
