I got A bad rash on my neck and its been there since The Middle of Jan.Why don't it go away?

Well I thought I got my rash by wearing a fack necklace back in The Middle of Jan and it has not went away yet.I have been putting Destitin diaper rash cream on it for 3 weeks now and it has not helped. This rash hurts and itches like hell and its very dry too.I have a Dr.'s appt Thursday to see why its still there but i was wondering if anyone kinda know whats going on with this rash on my neck.I have gotten rashes on my neck b4 from wearing fake necklaces but it has always went away by 2 days later.but this one will not go away or get better.I even tried sore cream for my neck and still nothing. No I have not wore any fake necklesses since I got the rash so I know that cant be it.Someone please tell me whats going on.

Thank you,
Luci

Sounds like a fungus infection to me. Let your doctor diagnose it, and give you the appropriate cream to clear it up.

That rash could be caused by many different things. Only a doctor can answer your question.

First off don't use any more desitin on the rash. SInce it itches use hydrocortisone cream for the itching. Not sure what is going on but you could be having a reaction to the desitin cream too.

You may have a condition known as exyma. I have this and the only thing taht works is a prescription cream. It stops the itching and the pain. All you have to do is consult your dermatologist. I am alos alergic to nickel, which is a constant in silver and the symptoms hurt and itch just like this and the rash will not go away without a different prescription cream. Your best bet is to get a meeting with your dermatologist, theyll know exactly what is going on

this could be a number of things- the metal was infectious and dirty and contaminated and irritated your skin with a painful burning rash, or else you have developed eczema and it is coincidental. if the rash is oozing, itchy, and crusting, then it may be eczema. it is either of the two. so go to the doctors and get it determined.

If seeing your GP is difficult try using clotrimazole 1% (canestan) to the affected area just a small amount for 1 week, maybe you've got a fungal infection.....but without seeing it it could be anything...however this treatment is unlikely to cause any harm whatsoever.
