Dialysis and Marijuana?

Hello there I am a patient who is currently in hemo dialysis. Alot of the times i feel odd and out of energy and don't eat very much. I was considering getting medicinal marijuana to get my appetite and relax me up after dialysis treatments. I have smoked marijuana a couple of times and it makes me get hungry and i eat with no problem and feel relaxed and not dizzy or feeling wack.
So i wanted to know if anyone out there currently in hemo are using medical marijuana legaly?

Thank you
Art

It seems to me that you are taking marijuana to relieve your stress over your illness or related financial and social stressors. Some adverse health effects caused by cannabis may occur because THC impairs the immune system's ability to fight off infectious diseases and cancer.

You are taking it as a non-prescribed drug. (My advice is to stop but not immediately without medical attention.)

You have already taken the first step to acknowledge that is this problem and you seems worried about how it will affect your hemo dialysis treatment.

You should let your care-giver, nurses and doctors who are in charge of your hemo-dialysis treatment know. Cause they are the people who can monitor you and give you support.

Hemo-dialysis treatment usually is a life-long treatment, you know? That is the reason why I gave you this advice.

Take care Art!

If you cant' actually get a prescription plant, you should ask your doctor about a medicine called Marinol.

It's basically marijuana in a pill, used to stimulate your appetite. But, you won't get the "effects" of being high. Don't know how it would effect hemo-dialysis. You should talk to your doctor about it...
