We charge dialysis charges, can we also charge for home health orders the dr wrote? |
we charge dialysis pts for the dr overseeing their dialysis care. he also wrote an order for home health to care for the patient. can we charge the G0180 and the G0179 charges for the home health certs and recerts for this dialysis patient as well.? If the patient has Medicare than it is either one or the other. If the patient needs home health then the billing no longer falls under the Part B but is now under the DRG payment under Part A. If the patient is going to be recieving home health then Medicare will not allow for payment of the dialysis to be administered in the dialysis facility anymore. Go to www.cms.hhs.gov and search for home health dialysis and it will give you a list to choose from find the one for payments that has the most recent dates. the questions confusing... Who is "we"?
