Helping people to pay dialysis?Do you know any agency?

Hello, My cousin in the Philippines has started his dialysis 1 week ago. I am not sure how he is going to provide continuing care for his dialysis but Philippine Heath Care SUCKs! if you dont have money you will die. There is no health insurance.

I am just wondering if you guys know any Non-profit organization who helps indigent people who cannot afford Dialysis.

I really wanted to help him to prolong his life.

My father actually died of kidney disease and my family and I always give to the not for profit orgainization The Kidney Foundation. They are a very usueful tool that you can use. My father lived with the disease for 15 yrs. He is actually one of the pioneers in starting the home dialysis or the CAPD. Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis. For the user above me please check into this for your dad. It helped us out tremendously as he was home more often with us children instead of at a hospital for the dialysis. It increased my father quality of life tremendously. I don't really know about the Phillipines, however the Kidney Foundation can put you in contact with someone in all areas.

I don't know if anyone who would help but I would like to find out more. I take my dad to Dialysis three time a week. We travel 140 miles round trip. Sometimes we have go through hard times financially and cost of travel but keeping my dad alive is what keep me going.
