When your a diabetic? |
does your odor smell differently. I noticed as using the bathroom that my pee smells more like sweat, and no rude comments...i wash consistently and i think i am a diabetic. The reason i say I think i am a diabetic is because recently, i have been getting weird headches after i eat even small amounts of sugar but i told my mom and she wants to wait to be sure...because its not completely out of control...i stay away from sugar for the most part. But i do feel very weird after i eat anything with sugar. i had half a cookie and have a slight headaches :( Yes diabetics have a different odor. It smells like sickly sweet meat, or at least that's how it smells to me. Did you know that in the 1000's " Diabetes commonly diagnosed by 鈥渨ater tasters鈥?who drank the urine of those suspected of having diabetes; The urine of people with diabetes was thought to be sweet-tasting; As such, the Latin word for honey 鈥?mellitus 鈥?is incorporated into the condition's name and 鈥渄iabetes mellitus鈥?is coined."? you think ??? I am. If I let myself get off track, yes, it smells funny. If I've been keeping things under control then all is well in peeville. if you think your diabetic you need to go to the doctor asap and ask them to do blood work but try drinking water for like 2 days straight and see if it still smells that way its probably cause your not drinking good think about if you drink to many sugared drinks soda jice etc and remember coffee is a diaretic it will drain out more fluid then you put it which can make your pee very ehhh Yes when you're a diabetic you can spill glucose (sugar) into your urine. If your sugars are really elevated you can emit a fruity odor (it kind of smells like juicy fruit gum) this is a serious condition called Diabetic Ketoacidosis. You need to follow up with your healthcare provider if you are suspicious of diabetes. The sooner your sugars are controlled the less likelyhood that you will have serious complications. Other symptoms of diabetes include feeling thirsty all the time, urinating frequently, tiredness, weight loss (occassionally). I don't know about that.. but if you have eaten asparagus, that changes the smell of your urine. It's very noticeable. If you are a diabetic whose sugar is not under control, your body will try to get rid of the excess sugar through sweat and urine. Your urine will have a sweet smell and have a kind of sheen in the toilet. You should have your doctor test you for diabetes (finger stick, not painful really), or a friend who has a glucometer can test you. Don't let it go. You can die or suffer serious kidney damage if it is not controlled. do you take a multivitamin? i started to notice a wierd smell when i peed when i started taking one a day all day energy. someone told me the your body will pee out any vitamin it doesnt need. Check your blood sugar, it takes a minute. |
