Dermatology appointment? |
i have an appointment with a dermatologist for the first time tomorrow for extremely dry skin on my legs and hands and arms, it itches non stop all the time and i itch it non stop all the time so it gets raw. well i'm finally having it checked out tomorrow but all doctors scare me and i'm scared to see him. I don't have a clue what he's going to do. Does this condition sound like something normal? I really don't want to go tomorrow. Sounds like it could be eczema. However, PLEASE go to the dermatologist....many skin conditions have similar symptoms, and you may end up treating it incorrectly. You need a professional diagnosis to treat it properly. Don't worry, you won't be naked, or undergo any pain for testing. You'll be fine! it's probably nothing to worry about. all the dermatalogist is going to do is look at your skin and then tell you what's wrong and give you medication if you need it. There is no reason to fear a doctor, I reckon he will just look at your condition and give you something for dry skin, It could be psoriasis, or just dry skin, or maybe you have developed an allergy. But don't be scared, You can tell the nurse who usually sees you before the doctor you have some issues about seeing the doc, and she can tell him to be extra caring.. Good luck, and I hope you get over whatever you have soon... |
