Prednisone 10 MG Dermatology Prescribed?!? |
I went to the dermatologist today. I saw him about a few cysts on my face in my chin/mouth area. They gave me shots for them and I was prescribed prednisone. He asked me before he prescribed it "Do you have a problem with taking steroids?" I was unsure why he asked this, what are the side effects of this drug and tell me everything negative about it. If taken for long periods of time (i'm talking 6 months or more) you can gain a lot of weight from increased appetite and fluid retention, it can depress your immune system. Don't lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking it. It can cause major heartburn and esophagus irritation. It can disturb your sleep cycles. But the majority of people who take it for less than 6 months have no bad side effects. All side effects should be given to you with your prescription when you pick it up and you always have an opportunity to counsel with your pharmacist about these things. I've taken this before for acne. Only for 5 days at a time though. Only side effect I had was It made me reallly awake, which in the morning is not a bad thing. Just don't take it before you go to bed, or you will not get to sleep. |

What kind of moisturier/ s... i a dermatologist. u study skin, get an office and examine ppl or start as a doctors aid looking at ppls skin....you tell them if they have acne its fun i like it a lot....it can be gross though g... did you say it only hurts when someine else touches you? if so i dont know but shingles can cause a similar reaction. you should go to a doctor, never be afraid to ask them qestions ...Relax they will offer you plenty of training before they give you more responsibilities. Go out and give it your all as you will do fine... ...Probably allergy and wound care, definitely cosmetics and plastics, if you are looking at health care fields. ... |
