Do all drs. even in specialty fields, i.e. dermatology, ortho., have to register to the AMA? |
I am trying to find a dermatologist that 'claims' she is a dr, but can't find anyone in the entire building she works in with a doctors degree or even anything about a license. Am I looking in the wrong area? I need to have a spot removed, and have surgery scheduled, but I will not let them cut into me if they are not registered with the AMA. all dr's in any sub specialty have to be boarded within that sub specialty, if nobody has heard of this person, then go elsewhere, it is your face!!! cancel your appointment. Hmm I think that would be weird. But I am not sure if it's a mandatory type of union or not. They don't have to be registered with AMA. But I too look for doctor's who are registered. It signifies ongoing training. If you go to the AMA website, you can literally look up every kind of doctor in your area and it will tell you next to their name if they are registered or not. Look into the website that ms.mousey wrote. Take care an good luck |
