Persistant Pityriasis Rosea?

I have what I'm nearly certain is Pityriasis rosea. While everything I've read on it says it should go away after a few weeks or a month, I've had it since about October or so. I'm starting to think it may be something more serious; anyone know anything about dermatology?

My research indicates that 3 months is the outside limit. See below. Also, to assist you in evaluating whether you have this condition, I found an interesting fact showing that about half the people who develop pityriasis rosea have signs or symptoms of an upper respiratory infection 鈥?such as a stuffy nose, sore throat, cough or congestion 鈥?just before the herald patch appears.

The Mayo clinic gives this advice:

"See your doctor if you develop any of the following signs"

A large scaly patch on your back, chest or abdomen
A rash across your back, chest or abdomen
A rash on your arms, legs or face
Also contact your doctor if you've been diagnosed with pityriasis rosea, and the rash doesn't go away within three months.
