Will scar heal by itself?

i am eating loads of vegetables and fruits and using spot cleanser toner to help clear the scar. i never allow make up on my face eventhough my friends advised me to apply concealer. but i refuse because i dont have the habit to use make up and i want to let my face to be as natural as possible. But i realise the scars are fading compare to last few weeks. what you guys think? am i doing the right thing?should i just give it some more time? if i refer to dermatology, i will have to spend a lot!! i am just a student :(

i mean acne scar

The scar is the way your skin healed. You can influence some of the final appearance by using a scar reduction cream, Mederma is the best. You will need to apply it daily, at least twice as a rule, and keep using it for several months to see the best result. Nothing is going to magically erase the scar, though. It can take up to a year for a scar to settle and fade, and during that time using the Mederma will help most of all. Then you can decide if you wish to use a concealer or not. You can also use vitamin e gel as well, which helps promote healing. Your spot cleanser isn't going to do much at all, in fact it can irritate that new skin. Just use plain old soap and water to clean your face, and Mederma and vitamin e on the scar itself.

scars don't clear completely, but they fade. Use lemon juice

Vitamin E cream can help clear up scars.

use curad scar therapy at night. bandaid has a product too. 12 bucks

Use the oil from the vitamin e capsule. It will heal quickly and leave the minimum scarring.

Try some Mederma, it will soften your scars. Also If you want some nice light make-up try Bare Minerals. Scars normally take a year or so to be unnoticeable but it depends on the severity.

It is an old saying that. "Scar can heal with time but the hurt-ed heart with odd words can not cured.

Scars are for life ... they may fade or get smaller the bigger you get
It's probably less noticable than you think -- don't worry so much.

The scar will not completely disappear but it will gradually fade.. You are doing the right thing.. Continue eating fruits and veggies...that makes your skin healthier and speeds up healing..make up wont help much...so dont apply it. creams for scars dont usually work...so i think you are on the right track!

There is something that is supposed to help scars lighten up. I don't remember the exact name of it though. You can get it at Wal-Mart and places like that. If you would want to try something like that.

i have a huge scar on my knee. It has faded considerable, but it hasn't gone away. if the scar is small and not deep with vitamin e and whatever treatments seem to work, you make get it to go away or fade enough so it doesn't distort your face
