How does a foreign graduate of medicine challenge the nursng board exams in the US?

My wife is a doctor and specialized in dermatology in the Philippines. She plans to review for the medicine board exams here but we couldn't afford it right now. She was told that she could "challenge" the nursing board exams and if she passes that, she could become a medical esthetician which is what she does exactly in the Philippines.

Each state has different licensing requirements and different prerequisites for challenging the nursing board. Check with your state's nursing regulatory board.
