Atopic dermatitis help!? |
hi...i'm diagnosed w/ atopic dermatitis since i was little. for the past few years, its getting worse and worse. ive tried many medications (some that include steroid) but none really seems to work for me. ive found a descent medicine now, but that only gets rid of all the scratches - im still itching myself constantly. Try some anti-fungus creams, they sometimes help. It helped me, as I had it on my left wrist. I did some five procedures of soaking in sea salt concentrated solution, then after wiping it gently, and not thoroughly, I put the anti-fungal cream. Neem oil externally, where it itches. If you are still itching constantly, you do not have a decent medicine now!! You can take Benadryl to help with the itching, mainly at night because it will make you drowsy. Keep your skin moisturized, don't bathe in too hot water. Moisturize with Vaseline or Cetaphil, nothing with too much in it or perfume - that may irritate your skin. Wash with Dove for sensitive skin or Cetaphil cleanser. And goodness, go to a dermatologist to get a prescription to help heal your dermatitis!!! |
