Perioral dermatitis? |
Does anyone have this? It's basically little red pimples/redness around your mouth. Some say it's a form or rosacea. My doctor gave me Oracea (30 pills) and Metrogel, and it's hardly clearing up. Anyone have any tips for this, or general dermatitis? i have rosacea and yahoo has some great groups for rosacea.i used the metrogel for two months didn't work for me just dried out my face even more than it was. Do a web search on "definition of perioral dermatitis", "pictures of perioral dermatitis", "signs and symptoms of perioral dermatitis", "treatment for perioral dermatitis", and "alternative treatment for perioral dermatitis". Read all that you can so you understand this condition and all available treatments. If what you have been prescribed is not working then you need to talk to your doctor again or go to a dermatologist. The more informed you are the better choices you can make for yourself and be better able to communicate with your doctor. for general dermatitis i recommend exederm - their site is good at exederm.com but don't know about perioral dermatitis - sorry |
