Has anyone gotten complete upper dentures from Aspen Dental?

If so, i was wondering if you could answer a few questions. Are the dentures that they put in immediately after extraction temps or do you get another plate later? If so, was it easier to speak with the new plate and chew? Do they ever put ridges on the roof of the denture like a real palate has? And, when they make the final teeth, can they make them a little more like your natural shape and with a small gap between the front teeth or are all teeth pretty much the same? Any info you can give me about your experience is greatly appreciated. (i'm talking about the heat-treated dentures).

i guess people who have gotten their dentures elsewhere with the same problems/answers could help me as well. thanks in advance.

Aspen Dental is a full-service dental office that does exams, cleanings, fillings, root canals, crowns, dentures, etc...

You're paying for the dentures, you can request that a diastema (space) be placed between your two front teeth if that's what your normal dentition was like. You can also ask for the ridges on the hard palate area.

You get the final say in the 'try-in' stage, so if you need/want changes, that's when you speak up.

If you have a picture of what your teeth looked like 'before', then bring it with you so it can go to the lab. There's no reason you shouldn't be 100% happy with your dentures!

Best of luck!

I believe Aspen dental is one of those places that only does dentures. The denture you get immediately after they pull your teeth, same day, may be your final. It depends on how many teeth you have left and how much bone you have supporting the ones left. If the answer to both those questions is not much then yes this is probably your final denture, but it will need to be relined after a few months once you heal. The other problem that can happen is that you don't like how it looks. Since they are taking out your teeth after the plate is made you don't get to see it until you own it. Almost always it is fine but there can be no guarantees.

It will take some time getting used to eating, chewing, and speaking with dentures so be patient. They will never feel like your real teeth without implants. Usually there are a few adjustments included in the price of the denture. If you need too many adjustments then a second plate would have to be made at your expense after all the healing is complete, 4-6 months.

No ridges will be put on our denture.

You can have them make your final teeth however you want them. Many people have a gap placed in between the front two cause that's what they had all their life.

However, I also know Aspen dental is a discount denture office so while I'm sure they are very good at making dentures, that's all they do, you are not getting any bells or whistles and may just get whatevr they give you.
