How much do partial dentures cost?

I have no insurance and need partial dentures. My teeth on the bottom are killing me.There's 4 teeth that need to be pulled out. I know they are expensive. What can i do? Where can i find affordable partial dentures?

I live in california

Hi ya. Cost is the biggest thing with dental patients. If you can't afford private practice prices which range from $1000-1500+ per arch, you can try a couple of other alternatives and get equal care or sometimes BETTER care.

1) Community Health Center: they're all over the place, cost will run from 600-1000 dollars per arch with no insurance. I'd rec'd you apply for state aid which sometimes covers the cost of partials. The bad thing is that appt are far far apart.
2) Local Dental School: you'll work with dental students who have pre-clinically experience (meaning two years min on manniquein patients), but limited 'real' life experience. However, student dentists are well supervised by dentists who have practiced for a long long time. Faculty usually have private practices of their own and probably would charge 10x as much at their practices for the same work. Prices are about 500 per arch. Boston University charges $600/arch with no insurance and $300/arch for ppl who have insurance, but it doesn't cover partials. And no one is motivated to charge expensive prices b/c it's an educational institution. The bad part is that appt are more frequent than private practice and a bit longer. For partials, it's a min of 5 appts at 2.5 hours a piece.
3) Retail Chain Dental Practices (ie Sears, Gentle Dental, Western): These are good for quick service partials. Prices are generally lower than other private practices, they have coupons, and marketing team that make them very attractive. Prices will range from 800-1200 on up depending on where you go. The bad is that dentists usually recently graduated and NOT under the supervision by others, service is 'too quick', meaning they could miss something or lack in personal attention all patients deserve. Retail dentists are under the gun to produce and sometimes they sacrifice personal attention for a buck. But heck 10% off coupon is nice when it's a 1000 dollar denture!!

Hope I helped. Take care.

be prepared to pay between $950-1300 for a partial
Try Sears dental care for options

The office I work at starts at $750. There are a few places around the U.S. that provide affordable dentures. Try Googling "Affordable dentures" and see what comes up! :)

i only paid 340.00 for mine
