Can lower dentures be "locked" in place?

I've heard that lower dentures can be held in place by snaps or magnets. Is this true?

If you still have some teeth down there, you can have them modified to receive snaps or magnets and then have a denture made.

If you don't have any teeth left down there, you can get 2-to-4 implants to attach the denture to. It would snap in and out of your mouth.

Yes, there is some type of screw that goes into the gum and the teeth clamp in.

lower dentures are much more difficult than upper dentures because upper dentures have suctionon the roof of your mouth. On the lower it is more tricky especially if you have bone loss then they can sort of float around. The locking in place of lower dentures is when you get implants placed on each side of the denture.I would look for a dentist that does implants and go for a consultation-as RDA

They can be snapped into implants. Implants are major surgery. I wouldn't think magnets would be good. How good do magnets keep stuff on your fridge? Would you want to chew with that kind of staying power? Implants are very expensive too.

THERE IS A VARIETY OF WAYS LOWER DENTURES MAY BE RETAINED. TO "LOCK THEM" YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT IMPLANTS WHICH CAN DO THIS BY A MANY WAYS. TO LOCK THEM YOU HAVE TO SECURE THEM TO SOMETHING WHICH WON'T MOVE -- THE BONE = IMPLANTS.
