Can a small crack in your dentures be repaired or do you have to replace them completely? |
i just noticed a small crack in my top set of dentures and ive just had them a little over a year.is this normal?im new to dentures and will be thankful for any advice. Yes they can be fixed, there is an otc product that works pretty good. You should also check with your dentist to see if they may still be under warranty. Most dentures last about 5 or 6 years before they need replacing with normal wear and tear. You can repair them with a fee. Yes, they can be repaired but, if these are new dentures and you just had teeth extracted, then they really should be relined. This may be a stress fracture from the bone/gum shrinkage. It the crack is in the middle of the palate then this is probably the cause. Yea it can easily be fixed, luckyly its a removeable appliance so you can drop it off. Some time they even fix it for free if there roughly new. Its no big deal you prolly bit to hard dropped or banged them on sometihng happens alll the time |
