Phamacy Or Dentistry?

What are the Pro's and Con's about pharmacy or dentistry? I am having a debate between these two and I can not decide. Pharmacy does seem to be cleaner than dentistry, but staying behind the counter all day seem a bit boring to me. While dentistry although it is more hands on, you do have to look at all kinds of teeth. I need help. Schooling also takes longer for Dentistry right? What else is different?

If lazy, Phamacy
else Dentistry

Yes, "all kinds of teeth" and all kinds of people according to political correctness and "non-discrimination" against your freedom of choice.

I'd hate to be in a profession such as that, and I also would never disseminate certain types of pills, either, without going into it more at this time.

Hi!

I would truly recommend you to take dentistry. Because it is so worth... Pharmacy is kinda boring oh not kinda boring but boring... dentists can earn day by day... but pharmacists can only earn monthly... you have to be familiar with the medicines that the doctors would prescribed to the patient... and you should be more vigilant... you also need to talk and talk in front of many people... you also need to be patient... you should know whats the penmanship of the doctor... thx...

Hope that i helped...脺
~ future dentist but as of now I'm still studying and im on m y 9th grade...

If you dont mind the blood and teeth sawing then do dentistry, but I would think you need a very strong stomach...which I do not, I would do the Pharmacy, plus they make REALLY good money too, and you don't have to deal with hurting patients.

Both are good career choices. As a dentist you have the opportunity to own your practice and be the boss. It's alot more stressful but may be more financially rewarding. While you can have your own pharmacy, competing with the chains stores will be difficult.
You are right that schooling is longer for dental.

The advantages of becoming a pharmacist are:

1) Most jobs are 9-5 meaning that you will have time for family

2) It takes less time to finish and be licensed compared to dentistry

3) Most starting salary are 75-150k depending on location and need

4) You can get $1,000,000 malpractice insurance for only hundreds of dollars per year. compare that to medicine and dentristry

5) You will have a life and a job for the rest of your life

6) Dentists has the highest suicide rate out of all of the health trades

7) for more information on getting into pharmacy school, I recommend that you look at http://www.pre-pharm.info
