UofT Faculty of Dentistry Braces?

Has anyone had braces from the UofT faculty of dentistry. From what I read and heard from the website, it's cheaper than the normal private dentists but longer waiting times (PRO). Also, students perform on your set(s) of teeth, alongside with the supervisor. There's no flexible schedule around this, a CON. And I'm sort of worried that a student (maybe biased here, may have little experience compared to the avg orthodontist). Has anyone actually gone to it or had a friend/family/anyone you know who actually had braces there? Experiences?

An excellent choice. These students are supervised by Instructors who are professionals that are seasoned, highly trained, qualified and respected Dentists. True, they are learning, but they are trained and have many hours of practice within this area of dentistry. He is training in a specialty field. You are in good hands, probably better than some others since you do have more than one set of eyes overseeing any work completed.

Worry not! You will be well provided for. The attending supervising dentist will not allow anything to go wrong. The university is not in the business of knowingly ruining its reputation. By the way, U of T has a very good dental program. I have been there while the students perform. Excellent.
