I got dental sealants put on yesterday and they're way too high?

The stuff that they put on my teeth are way too high up and i cant chew properly because i got it done on either side of my mouth and one side's is lower than the other my a millimeter. Two assistants did them and one was like those are way too high, and the one actually doing said that it would go down after i eat (???).
Anyways, it feels like there is a jolly rancher stuck to my tooth and i can't bite down all the way. is this normal? Should I call my dentist? Has this ever happened to anyone? Please I need answers - i can't eat properly my teeth are hurting ( because 1 is higher than the on the so whenever i bite down i put too much pressure on my top teeth by trying to match up to my bottom teeth - does that even make sense?)

I just had dental work done recently and the dentist spent a long time checking the height of each one and slowly making adjustments until he and I both thought they were perfect
you definitely need to call the dentist first thing in the morning and insist the actual dentist fixes them not his assistants

you pay damn good money for your dental work and deserve a perfect job

Go back to the dentist for a follow-up. Tell him you need him to make an adjustment. It happens all the time, so don't be uncomfortable telling him about it or getting him to fix it.

I had the same problem. Just go in and ask them to grind them down.

you should have said something......at the dentist office. even though they say it will go away after you eat......that dont sound right.....i had that happen to me and i went back the next day without making an appointment, i simply said that I took way to many advils last night because I was in so much pain.......and that I need it fixed.....they have to, and will do it at that time,,,,,good luck, dont call the dentist because they will try to tell you to come back at a different day.....just walk on in and thell them....i did

Usually, with sealants, the bite will adjust it self. If by Monday they are still bothering you, have them adjust your bite.

assistants are not licensed to that procedure only dentist and hygienists are. go back to your dentist and have him/her take a look.
