I have dental caries...? read details?

I have dental caries. On Friday I went to the dentist and she did some drilling. After that she did some filling.
Everything was fine until yesterday. My tooth started to hurt really badly and today the same thing happened. I'm still in pain!
This tooth is the last one (upper second molar, I don't have wisdom teeth) so it's hard for me to see what is going on in there.
I have another appointment in 2 weeks. I was wondering, could she have done something wrong? Is the tooth suppose to hurt after 3-4 days?
thanks

If the decay was close to the pulp (nerve) you could have some sensitivity... is the tooth sensitive to hot and cold? If the answer is yes, you may need to have endodontic treatment (root canal).

My second thought is the filling is too high, causing you discomfort. This would be easier to rectify; all that needs to be done is a simple adjustment to the filling....

If it's still bothering you, call the office and ask to be seen sooner than your next appointment...they'll probably take an xray and check your occlusion (bite).... I would hope they'd accomodate you.

Best of luck!

:)

no its not suppose to hurt. maybe it broke when you bite something hard. or could be a leak. go to your dentist. take some Advil
