I graduated at the University of the East, College of Dentistry in the year 1996. I am currently working in the Local Government in the Municipality of Cainta province of Rizal, Philippines for more than 9 years now. I render my services to indigent constituent of our town from high caries pre-schoolers to periodontal cases of adults which lead to extraction. My work really inspired me to relate to people of their needs. I want to do more, a different level perhaps. Western Dental in California or Arizona or anywhere in the USA or Canada will require all documents to be transferable
Unfortunately, most from the non-western countries (asian) are not
My aunts are all respectable doctors in China & Vietnam, but are not allowed to practice in the US or Canada without redoing all of their schooling again by North American standards
I would inquire about the necessary requirements for the position you seek and determine whether you have them and if they transfer over
Its a hard path, good luck i went to dental school with a girl from the phillipines. she had been a dentist for a while but they still made her go back to 3 years of dental school...at least it wasn't all 4! she breezed right thru it and actually graduated at the top of the class. |
