Dengue question!?? |
I was wondering because i was bitten by a mosquito about 4 hours ago and was kinda scary because the mosquito looks like a dengue carrier. I feel a little ache in my stomach right now and no other symptoms is it just coz i drank water like a couple of minutes ago or could it be dengue? Dengue fever is a viral infection with an incubation period of 3-7 days. The symptoms start with flu-like illness with severe headache, muscle and joint pain, vomiting and rash. There have been no cases of Dengue fever in the USA except for a couple in Texas. The mosquitos carrying the virus look no different than any other mosquitos. I wouldn't worry too much unless you are living in areas where dengue is prevalent, such as Australia, South Pacific, Central Africa, East Africa, or tropical areas. |
