Is Dengue Fever contagious between people? |
Someone I have close contact with has Dengue fever and I was wondering if I need to worry about getting it from her. Dengue is only spread through Aedes mosquito bites and not through personal contact. Aedes exist in the US , and even if your friend got it in the Caribbean snd came home, there is still a chance of thransmission through US mosquitoes, though it is small. yes Because there is not a vaccine for dengue fever, travelers should: |
