Dengue question?


Hi! I just came from the tropics recently and stayed in this open hut. When I woke up I saw 19 little red dots from mosquito bites. Now this is dengue country and I became rather paranoid.

Suppose there is that one mosquito that got through, what is the best way to combat this disease before it takes place? I already took 1000mg of vit c for 2 days. Any other suggestions?

if you have been bitten by a dengue bearing mosquito , you will have to wait till the incubation period is over, the the first systoms will appear, no medication will help for the time being

You will know weather or not you have dengue when you take CBC in the hospital. I had this disease myself, before. When your platelet count drops from normal level, you'd probably need to be hospitalized. The doctor gives you some medications and if the matter gets worse, which we hope would not, a blood transfusion may be required. Go see a doctor and ask for some medications. It'll helP.......
