Why is it that if youv had dengue...? |
My grandmother has meningitis and my dad went to go see her and cant be in the same room because he has had dengue fever. What would happen if he did go in??? my dad has had dengue 3 times... so yeah, I guess if he was exposed it would be fatal... thanks for the help. Typically, a person will develop dengue fever as a result of initial exposure to one serotype. Upon recovery, a patient develops immunity to this single serotype. Upon second infection with a different serotype, the patient stands a greater risk of developing dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF), a more serious and potentially fatal disease. |
