Dementia in a Loved One?


It is so hard to see a best friend of mine who I am sure is getting dementia. He is snappy and snarly and argues every point where we used to chat and get along so well.It is frustrating and sad. How do you cope with this?

thats a support group for dementia. i know how it goes since my ex's mom developed this before she passed. its hard to deal with alone.

How you are sure that your friend is suffering from DEMENTIA . Dementia disorders has types like Alzeimer's etc. What is age of your friend. In dementia person is unable to recall previos experiences or previosly learned experiences.Person forgets friends and even children as disorder progress.Tell us about your friend symptoms that if he or she is suffering from it or not.If your friend is suffering from it then you have to develope the Patience in dealing him.
Use reminder notes in early stage of disorder.
Person with disorder became irritable and difficult to manage
This disorder is progressive so even at the end person need help in their self care like dressing etc.If you are his sincere friend so face it with patience and he need constant care and love from his family.
