I need volunteers to help run dementia group i also need funds for group any ideas?

i run a respite group on tuesday at the hollies day centre in musselburgh east lothian scotland we have no funding i have one volunteer we provide respite for families of dementia sufferers .whilst in our care we insure their safety and comfort,we use games quizzes and memory aids we also do exercise and have a musician attends monthly we are looking for volunteers to get involved

For fund raising perhaps do a village fete, a pub quiz,or car boot sales and if you can get some leaflets drawn up quite cheap, posting them through peoples doors should raise alot of interest.

Contact local organizations and see if they would be willing to help out. Check with churches, schools, etc.....
Have flyers made or make them yourself and place these in public places such as stores, libraries, etc.....
Check with your local tv stations and see if they have a segment on local happenings, where you could place an ad, the ads are usually free.

As for funding, have a community clothing swap. Charge a small amount for participation. Hold an annual bazzare, bake sale, etc........

I applaud you and your co-workers! It takes a very dedicated person to do the kind of work you do!
