Can dehydration cause diarrhea?

Can dehydration cause diarrhea?
Please read my question very carefully
Can dehydration cause diarrhea?
The reason I ask this is because I train over 2hr in the gym (6 day a week) and I train with extremely high intensity. Many and many of times I use to dehydrate so badly in the gym that it was almost impossible for me to talk, my lip and tongue were soo jammed together (because of no water in the mouth).
I could barely get a word out of my mouth, some of you might rememeber me as I have been asking question about diarrhea the past few days.

I know diarrhea causes dehydration but what I want to know, can Dehydration cause diarrhea.

No. Dehydration cannot cause diarrhea. With diarrhea, you are loosing water in your feces. If you are dehydrated then your body cannot afford to lose water through feces. Most likely, dehydration will cause constipation because your body is removing too much water from your feces.

Yes it can. You need to get a formula of electrolytes, normal water may not re-hydrate you.

I found this on a web site. Read the last paragraph; it says that other physical signs may manifest, so yes, diarrhea may be a sign of dehydration for you.

Signs of dehydration usually begin with thirst and progress to more alarming manifestations as the need for water becomes more dire. The initial symptoms of dehydration in adults appear when a body has lost about 2% of it's total fluid.

Intial signs of dehydration are:

Thirst
Loss of appetite
Dry skin
Flushing
Dark colored urine
Dry mouth
Fatigue
Chills
Head rushes from quick movements

If the dehydration is allowed to continue, when the total fluid loss reaches 5% the following signs may be experienced:

Increased heart rate
Increased respiration
Decreased sweating
Decreased urination
Increased body temperature
Extreme fatigue
Muscle cramps
Headaches
Nausea
Tingling of the limbs

When the body reaches 10% fluid loss, emergency help is needed. The signs of this severe condition include:

Muscle spasms
Vomiting
Racing pulse
Shriveled and wrinkled skin
Dim vision
Painful urination
Confusion
Difficulty breathing
Seizures
Chest and abdominal pain
Unconciousness

Be aware that these are not the only signs that may manifest in response to dehydration, these are simply the most common. Signs of dehydration will differ from person to person because the body is a complex network of systems and everyone's body is unique. When these systems are disturbed due to loss of fluids there will be several common symptoms shared by most organisims, but there may also be unusual or unexpected responses depending on the particular person in question. Remember, dehydration prevention is the best treatment!

No.

Diarrhea is caused by amoebic, viral, or bacterial infections, as well as contaminated food/water, food reactions, or reaction to medication. It is NOT caused by dehydration.

Yes.

"Dehydration can cause diarrhea by starving your bowels of needed fluids. Your bowels respond by letting fluids pool in your intestines, which later comes out as diarrhea."

Yes. Dehydration upsets the natural balance of chemicals in your blood, medical term would be electrolytes. Normal balance is necessary for day to day functioning of body therefore if unbalanced the functions of bodily systems will change and could result in diarrohea.
