Dehydration link to bloodshot eyes? |
Can anyone please tell me whether there is a link between dehydration and bloodshot eyes? I am a very active person but all of a sudden thin red veins are appearing on my eyeballs. Would it help if I drank MORE water? Dehydration can dry out your eyes which is probably why they are red. You should drink more water if you think you are dehydrated. You can try an otc rewetting drops as well. Couple of my favorites are refresh tears or optive. You can use on a daily basis as much as you want and as long as you want. If it doesnt improve - I would consult your optometrist. well dehydration can lead to sunken eyes but not red eyes.sunken eyes means as if your eyes are inside eye socket.red eyes could be because of allergy, dust, infection especially if they come suddenly and dialso go away with rest.there are no lubricating drops but 'artificial tears 'are available oyu should contact a doc for this. |
