Antibiotics and dehydration? |
I had nose surgery and woke up with dry nasal, throat and mouth this morning. Breathing fine (100%) but feel lack of sensation while breathing, air is cold and dry (like a draft). Don't know about that but if you have surgery you should be drinking a lot of water. You couldn't have anything to drink or eat before surgery so you may be dehydrated from that. I think there is no single antibiotic that causes dehydration. Your dry feeling is mostly associated with certain medications that cause dryness of the nose and mouth. They are mostly nasal decongestant, and also some kinds of anti-histamine. |
