Can a person with degenerative back disease (associated with bulging disc and sciatcia) receive disability? |
Any personal questions are welcome! Also, I have already had some Epidural Steroid Injection Treatments but can no longer afford them because I was on Medicaid ( I was a kid now I am 21). However, I am a student. Are there any health benefits for me? First let me say--I know how painful your condition is as I have some of the same trouble. I think it would be SSI not disability, yes you would qualify but it takes forever to get approved. Well, I have the same problem and the answer is yes. But like the first answer, it takes forever to get approved. Get it rolling now. I have three bulging disc's and my god I know what you are going through. If you were disabled before the age of 17 you may qualify to be on your parents insurance. Applly for SSI and SSDI. Get a lawyer from legal aid tio help you , dot your i's and cross your t's. Most people are turned down 3 times before qualifying. Or you can get an advocate from an INDEPENDENT LIVING CENTER that can help you appy. Also some drug companies have compassionate med programs for meds. Call the company that supplies the meds you are on and see if yopu can get assistance. Aplly for foood stamps, welfare, etc. If you are not working at all due to doc's orders all the better. But yes you should qualify..... |
