Back pain and leg numbness, no cause?

I'm now at wits end... Bout 3 months ago i was injured at work..
My work history is impeccable and always worked extra hours so malingering isnt an issue.. I am a workaholic.. and can't stand this not working much longer
Anyway i've seen 4 work comp dr's and have gotten 4 different diagnosis along with a polite i dont know whats it is. PT for 3 months now not helping much.. Gone from ibuprophen to percocet and neurontin. Not much help.. MRI showed a Degenerative disc changes at the L3-4 level with a prominent anterolateral buldge on the right side. Deemed normal, EMG was within normal limits..
1 said severe muscle strain. 2 said nothing wrong go see orthopedist 3 said Degenerative Disc disease 4th said trunk and L lower extremity weakness. But gives me stronger meds more PT and scheduled more visits..I feel like im getting a work comp runaround and nothings is resolved. PT feels theres a nerve prob EMG says no. What do I do??

I could do light duty but cant sit stand or walk very long, Plus without meds pain tends to get unbearable. I've found several things on net that kinda sound like whats happening but i dont know what to do.
I went thru something similar a few years ago on the right side. Ortho treated me for sacroilliac joint dysfunction and after 2 months of treatment was healed.

Since you are being check by doctors for compensation insurance, you will not get a good answer.
Your problem resembles that of a
herniated disc.
Sciatic nerve damage.
Spurs on your lumbar spine.

See a physician and do not mention the word comp. You will have to pay for it but at least you will get a good answer. Best of wishes to you. You are getting a run around. That is the whole point. They are not going to pay for anything and are trying to get out of paying you. Sorry. It is the truth. I know from experience.

DJD of the L4 spine is not normal, especially with disc bulges which can become herniated. See an orthopedist specialist, again, don't say checking for compensation insurance. I know you are in horrible pain.

try going to a chiropractor ....it may be a pinched nerve...try icing it....and relax for a bit as hard it may be.....rest a tiny bit to let ur muscles rest

Yes, the workers comp is giving you the run around because the company doesn't want to pay you disability. There is definitely a nerve involved. Go and see your own Doctor for a second opinion and take your MRI with you. Get a lawyer, they are full of it.

My dad had this problem. it was the sciatic nerve it runs from the back down to the legs pressure on it causes pain and numbness so the pt knows more than all the docs. Hope this helps!!!

You need to talk to a good and i mean a good orthopedic surgeon sounds like you may have a reputed disc that is rubbing against a nerve
