I have diabetes which is controlled by tablets and i also have degenerative joint disease i work 16 hours d?

at the moment i am absent from work due to back trouble i also have swelling of the knuckles on hands are these classed as disabilities as when i do my return to work my manager puts on rtw form no to me having any disabilities .I hoping to return to work on monday

Unfortunately, diabetes is considered to be a disability, without the other problems so it would be impossible for you manager to sign a form saying you have no disabilities.

I don't know what country you are from but here in the UK it is illegal to refuse to allow you to return to work if you are fit and able to do the job but just happen to be disabled.

Perhaps you could negotiate a graduated return to work, so that both you and your employer can see that you are fit to do the job?

You need to get a proper diagnosis because 'degenerative joint disease' is not very specific. Everyone past a certain age gets some degree of joint degeneration. Depending on what IDG code it is it may or may not be considered a disability.
If at all possible could you switch to a job that doesn't require so many hours? It seems an awful lot for someone who already has compromised health.
