What r the symptons of deep vein thrombosis?

What r the symptons of deep vein thrombosis?

Symptoms of DVT
In most cases of DVT, the clots are small and do not cause any symptoms. The body is able to gradually break down the clot and there are no long-term effects.

Larger clots may partially or totally block the blood flow in the vein and cause symptoms such as:

swelling of the calf - this is usually different from the mild ankle swelling that many people get during long haul flights for example
pain in the calf
calf pain that is noticeable, or worse when standing or walking

Symptoms
Deep vein thrombosis often does not cause symptoms or causes only minimal symptoms. When symptoms occur, they include:

Swelling. This could be generalized swelling in the leg or localized swelling along a blood vessel that creates a swollen cord that can be felt.
Warmth.
Pain or tenderness. The pain may be in the calf or thigh and may be present only when the affected area is touched or when standing or walking.
Redness.
There are many other conditions with similar symptoms, such as a Baker's cyst or cellulitis, which can make diagnosing deep vein thrombosis difficult.

Sometimes life-threatening pulmonary embolism is the first indication that you have deep vein thrombosis. Pulmonary embolism is the sudden blockage of an artery in the lung. Blood clots in the deep veins of the leg are the most common cause of pulmonary embolism. Symptoms of pulmonary embolism include:

Sudden shortness of breath.
Chest pain that may get worse with a deep breath.
A cough that may bring up blood.
A fast heart rate.

Many Symptoms of Severe Blockage Have Already Been Addressed, May I Add, a Positive Homan's Sign, I See a V/Q Scan as in Order.

Please see the webpages for more details on Deep vein thrombosis.

Agree with all the previous answers, however the pain in the leg is usually in the calf only, extremely tender to touch, very hot, possible rash. Calf musle is solid, with extreme swelling.
Symptoms of a PE also include pain when laying down, shortness or wheezy breathing

pain and swelling in the legs
