Which of the following is not a risk factor for Deep Vein Thrombosis?

a. bacterial respiratory infection
b. nephrotic syndrome
c. cancer treatment
d. varicose veins
if anything can be narrowed down it would help !

none of the mentioned above things are risk factor for DVT.
Maybe cancer treatment. Main risk factor for dvt is prolong standing ,sitting or laying usually related to ur occupation, or bed ridden pts, smoking, incompetent valves in veins(not so much). post surgical and etc.
DVT caused by prolong pooling of blood in lower legs cuz blood tends to clot and thats where the danger comes in for thrombosis. Thats y it is recommended if u r traveling in a plane or wherever u r in one position for long time always try to move ur legs(flexion/extension) to pump the bld back from the legs towards the heart.
prevention is tight stockings, treatment is blood thinners.
can be above or below the knee. Most common is popliteal fossa(behind the knee)
complication: can be dislodged from the vein wall and become mobile in circulatory sys and then be called as emboli. Can go to the heart, lungs or brain and clog the circulatory sys. Not very common.
